Day 1. Transfer from the airport to the Chuchilla de Haedo Mountain Range in the north.

Day 2-3: We will spend two days exploring the north of the country in order to become acquainted with two of the most original settings of the Uruguayan landscape: the Grassland, which dominates the geography of the land; and the Wet Ravines (Quebradas), which are mostly hidden in the immensity of the landscape. We will trek around the Quebradas of Laureles' Stream in pursuit of Seriema's song.

Day 4: Trip to Atlantic Coast. We will spend day four to day ten exploring one of the largest wetlands in the Southern Cone, which is also one of the areas with the greatest bird diversity in the whole of Uruguay: the 200,000 hectares of the Bañados del Este Biosphere Reserve.

Day 5-6: Trek around Laguna Castillos. We will visit marshlands and a forest of Coral Trees and Pokeweed Trees (a member of the Phytolaccaceae family, and one which is regarded rather as a giant grass) featuring specimens that are over 500 years old. Trip on bout to visit some areas of The lagoon.

Day 7: We will Visit the dunes and the colony of seals of Polonio's Cape. We will travel to Laguna Negra

Day 8-9: Trekking across Palm Tree forest. We will visit Potrerillo's Reserve, behind Laguna Negra to observe groups of Capybaras (approx. 20km).

Day 10: Finishing the trek. We will come back to Montevideo overnight.
