Description:
Tiny Rwanda is only a fifth the size of England, but hosts almost 700 bird species! It is not only bird-rich, but also boasts dramatic scenery. A host of Albertine Rift endemics can be found here, some more easily located here than in Uganda.
In addition, Shoebill and gorillas can also be found. For those with enough time, we can run this as a pre-tour to our 18-day Uganda birding safari starting a day later.
We’ll visit a couple of memorials to the terrible genocide that devastated this country not long ago.
