Itinerary:
Day 1: Warsaw to BiebrzaAfter your arrival in Warsaw you will be transferred to the Wizna - Biebrza Marshes. We start by heading to the western bank of the river with its spectacular views of the valley and its waterbirds - especially Terns and hundreds of varied plumaged Ruff and other waders. We then visit local meadows in search of feeding raptors.

Day 2: Narew & Biebrza
Today we visit the Narew Valley which joins Biebrza forming the southern Basin of Marshes. Here we can admire the spring migration of Ruff, White-winged Black Terns, hunting Harriers and Spotted Eagles.
In the afternoon we shall visit a Great Snipe lek which also has singing Aquatic and Grasshopper Warblers

Day 3: Biebrza
Today we will visit the eastern part of Biebrza Marshes with its famous "Car Road" going through alder woods, sedge marshes frequently visited by Elk, inhabited by Curlews and Short-eared Owl. In the Middle Basin of Biebrza we look for Spotted and Lesser Spotted Eagles.

Day 4: Biebrza
The middle Basin of Biebrza Valley with large swampy forests with dunes in between will be our surroundings today. Here we should see forest birds like Woodpeckers, Flycatchers and Nightingales that are numerous here. [There will be an optional early morning trip to the Black Grouse lek].

Day 5: Biebrza to Bialystok then Bialowieza
In the morning we depart in the direction of Bialystok town where we will visit the Dojlidy fish-ponds with its breeding Grebes (Red-necked, Black-necked and sometimes Slavonian), Whiskered Terns, Penduline Tits and other water-birds.
In the afternoon we reach Bialowieza Forest and take first walk in the neighbourhood of the village looking for Warblers and Woodpeckers. A visit to a European Bison reserve is also possible.

Day 6: Bialowieza
We shall take an early morning excursion to the Strict Reserve of the National Park of Bialowieza. This is the best preserved area and is only accessible with one of the Park's own guides and leads us through some 400-600 year-old woodland. This is the stronghold of breeding Woodpeckers including Middle Spotted, White-backed and Three-toed. We will see also Red-breasted and Collared Flycatchers.
Later we will visit Narewka Valley which crosses the Bialowieza Forest and is the feeding ground of Eagles, Storks and Shrikes.

Day 7: Białowieża & Siemianowka
We will visit the "Bisons Rib" trail leading through alderwood forest with numerous singing passerines as well as Woodpeckers and possibly the elusive Hazel Hen.
In the afternoon we shall visit Siemianowka Reservoir for its White-tailed Eagles, Terns, Great White Egrets and Citrine Wagtails. This is located on the northern edge of the Forest and just by the Belarussian Border; it is one of the most remote of our regional waterfowl refuges.

Day 8: Bialowieza
After breakfast we have a walk in the mixed coniferous spruce forest with additional cast of Woodpeckers: Grey-headed, Three-toed and also Hazel Hen.
In the afternoon we head for a forest trail in the North with a nice observation tower located on the edge of the river valley. Here are the breeding grounds of Short-toed Eagle and Crane. We stay until the evening when Pygmy Owl, Corncrakes, Nightjar, & Woodcocks become active.

Day 9: Bialowieza to Warsaw
After a morning walk in the Narewka Valley near the village (looking for Scarlet Rosefinch and Blyth's Reed Warbler which are possible there) we depart from Bialowieza for Warsaw.
